A patron of a Myrtle Beach gentleman’s club who authorities suspect was intoxicated was taken into custody on Monday for allegedly destroying a toilet in the establishment’s restroom, which caused structural and water damage.

On February 5, 20-year-old Pedro Alberto Bernar-Santiago was reportedly a customer at the Treasure Club, a strip club in South Carolina. At some point during his visit to the business, the man entered the restroom and kicked off the top of the toilet tank, breaking the structure that holds the plumbing and causing it to flood, according to a witness report.

The water overflowed out of the bathroom and gushed into the lobby of the speakeasy damaging the carpeting. Management estimated that the repairs to fix everything from the damages would cost a total of $4000.

During a two day period, a man from Michigan was accused of placing a number of phone calls to CNN headquarters and threatening to shoot the employees for reporting what he believes is fake news.

Between January 9 and 10 CNN headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, reportedly received 22 phone calls, four of which containing threats against their station employees. The caller, later identified as 22-year-old Brandon Griesemer from Novi, Michigan, allegedly spoke of bringing firearms to the building and shooting staff members due to his belief that they are a source of fake news distribution. He also made derogatory comments against black and Jewish people.

One of the investigators employed by CNN traced the phone number of the calls and discovered that it belonged to Griesemer’s father. While recording a call that was placed to the number the investigator spoke with a man who said his name was Brandon. When the calls making threats to the station were compared to the recorded call by the investigator it was determined that the voice sounded very similar.

A woman who was riding the Metro train on Monday was resting her foot on the edge of her seat when she was approached by a police officer. After being deemed uncooperative she was removed from the train by the officer for arrest, and she has claimed that he used an unnecessary amount of force during the process.

When North Hollywood resident Bethany Renee Nava, 18, was aboard the Metro Red Line train on January 22, she placed the heel of her shoe on the edge of her seat. “Placing feet or shoes on seats or furnishings” is a violation of the customer code of conduct, as stated by Metro, and may lead to a warning with the possibility of being ejected from the train.

Nava was seen by an LAPD officer and he approached her about her infraction. Brock Bryan, another passenger on the train, recorded the interaction between Nava and the officer with his cell phone. The footage depicted the officer grabbing the student by her arm and forcing her toward the door of the train, as she tells him to stop while attempting to collect her belongings. Nava is also heard swearing at the officer.

An employee who used to work for the clothing store Forever 21 discovered video camera footage on various pornographic websites of herself using the employee bathroom. She is suing the company for negligence and invasion of privacy alleging that they should be held accountable for failing to prevent the camera’s placement and protecting the privacy of their workers. The victim also filed for an order protecting her identity as she wishes to remain anonymous.

In 2011 the woman was attending Providence College in Rhode Island while working at Forever 21. A single-stall employee bathroom shared by staff members reportedly contained a hidden camera, which the victim claimed as the source of the videos circulating the internet. She discovered the footage at the end of last year.

Court documents reflect in the woman’s complaint that Forever 21 failed to provide security of any type in order to monitor and protect against the placement of the camera, and though the restroom was intended for the sole use of employees they have no way to be sure an unauthorized person or persons did not enter the lavatory.

In October 2016, a Huntington Beach woman took the stand as a witness in defense her boyfriend who was charged with the sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl. Her boyfriend was found guilty and sentenced. The woman was arrested on Thursday for allegations of providing false testimony during the trial in order to protect him from a conviction.

Jeffrey Scott Jones, boyfriend of 50-year-old Cynthia Marie Dunaway-Erickson, stood trial for raping a teenage girl living under her care. The victim told her friend’s mother about the sexual assault and the mother reported it to the police. Officers took the girl for a rape examination where DNA was collected and examined. When the sample matched Jones’ DNA he was taken into custody.

Dunaway-Erickson testified on behalf of Jones, and she confirmed the defense’s claim that the semen was discovered inside the girl because she and Jones used the same towel.
