An Illinois registered nurse previously employed at a nursing home has been arrested for allegedly charging nearly $2,000 to a credit card that she reportedly took from a patient that passed away.

The Fair Havens Christian Home in Decatur hired a 47-year-old RN who spent nearly half a year trying to find a job, and she was tasked with providing nursing services on the night shift.

An 84-year-old man was admitted to the facility on November 6, and he passed away 18 days later.

The Polk County Fire Rescue Captain, along with one of their paramedics, are facing charges for allegedly swiping doses of COVID-19 vaccinations that were intended for first responders.

31-year-old Joshua Colon worked as a paramedic for the Polk County Fire Rescue. Last year, he was the “Paramedic of the Year.”

Colon was reportedly tasked with giving vaccines to first responders.

A naked man on the Interstate reportedly stole the vehicle of an officer that tried to help him and crashed the car into a wooded area before being detained.

Late in the morning on January 21, an officer with the Jacksonville County Sheriff’s Office was driving down Interstate 10 when he saw a nude man on the ground near the shoulder of the road.

The officer pulled over and left his keys in the vehicle when he went to see if the man required assistance.

A felon from Michigan who filled in the employment section of his court documents with the word “criminal” will serve a prison sentence for robbing his elderly aunt.

47-year-old Monroe Nugent Jr. lives in Saginaw. He has been convicted for nine felonies and has served six prison terms.

In November 2019, Nugent went to his aunt’s residence, which is also in Saginaw.

The authorities caught an inmate after he reportedly attacked a corrections agent and tried to escape by stealing the injured officer’s vehicle and causing traffic accidents after he fled.

Dalton Ayers, 23, an inmate at the Florida Department of Corrections state prison, was convicted for possession of ammunition as a convicted felon, and petit theft.

Ayers, who is serving a 14-month sentence from the conviction, was on an outdoor work detail at the beginning of December.

37-year-old Kimberly Victoria Diggins lives in Port Charlotte, and used to work for Brightstar Care: In-Home Care & Medical Staffing Agency as a health aide.

On September 2, Diggins was reportedly in charge of taking care of a woman with stage 4 pancreatic cancer when the patient’s regular aide was unable to work her shift at the last minute.

Beginning at midnight, and for a period of approximately 11-hours, Diggins reportedly stayed at the residence to provide care for the woman. The patient and her spouse slept through the night while Diggins was at their home.

When a Largo man allegedly stole a pricey boat from a dealership, he reportedly left the vessel after crashing into a group of pilings.

Last Saturday around 2:00 am, the theft of a 2019 Jeanneau Leader boat with a value of $90,000 was reportedly robbed from the Thunder Marine boat dealership in St. Petersburg.

After the suspect left the shore with the boat, the alleged voyage took a turn for the worse as the vessel was navigated in a way that caused it to smash into four wooden channel-marker pilings.

A Washington state woman allegedly used the guise of being a baby photographer in a purported attempt to kidnap a child, flee, and raise it as her own.

A woman who had recently given birth to a baby girl reported that she saw an advertisement in a Facebook group offering free baby photos free of charge in exchange for the shoot helping a new photographer establish her portfolio.

The woman said that the photographer came to her house a total of three times, and took selfies with her baby while she was there.
