A North Carolina couple is facing charges after the authorities alleged that they beat their 6-year-old daughter with a wooden paddle on several occasions.

It was reported that a speech therapist in Cleveland County was working with a 6-year-old girl when she noticed the child had bruises on her buttocks.

The child lives with her parents in Vale, and a social worker visited the residence to talk to the couple about the situation. While she was there, she saw a large wooden paddle with holes drilled in it, and she took a picture. She also photographed the bruising on the child.

The mother and stepfather of a 10-year-old boy have been arrested after the police reportedly found the child bruised, injured, and severely malnourished due to long-term alleged abuse.

According to reports, on January 29, a woman who works at Jake’s Diner called the authorities from the eatery to tell them that her husband was abusing her at home.

During the police investigation, they visited the family’s New London, Connecticut apartment.

A mother in Texas allegedly punished her son by tying him to her vehicle with a seatbelt and dragging him down the highway.

Late in the morning on May 2, someone reportedly saw a woman and youngster in a car on the highway, and they believed the child was in danger. They notified the authorities and said that the woman pulled the child from the car and tied him to the vehicle. The woman allegedly got back into the vehicle and began driving, forcing the youngster to run next to the car.

A deputy with the Archer County Sheriff’s Office responded. When they encountered the vehicle that was reported, the deputy performed a traffic stop to make sure everything was okay.

The father of a teenage boy in Arkansas was arrested and charged for allegedly illegally piercing his son’s ear at home.

On April 20, a Springdale Police School Resource Officer reported to the authorities that a student told a teacher and his classmates that he had his ear pierced. He allegedly told the class that his father had been drinking and forced him to allow the home piercing.

The Tontitown Police Department took the report, and they sent officers to the boy’s home to speak with his father about the allegations.

A substitute bus driver for the Douglas County School District allegedly tried to control the children on his vessel by slamming on the brakes, leaving some of them severely traumatized.

On March 1, a 61-year-old school bus driver from Castle Rock was substituting for the regular driver on a bus from Castle Rock Elementary. The riders ranged in age from kindergarten to 6th grade.

It was reported that the man felt like the children were acting up. He was reportedly having difficulty getting them to quiet down, behave, and stay in their seats.

A teenage babysitter in Florida is facing felony charges for reportedly recording a video that allegedly showed a 1-year-old smoking marijuana after she placed a joint in the baby’s mouth. 

On March 23, the 16-year-old mother of a 1-year-old little girl left her baby under the care of her 17-year-old friend in her Largo residence. 

According to reports, the babysitter is a pot smoker, and she reportedly lit up while she was babysitting the child.

A Florida man with three children and a woman in his vehicle was reportedly traveling 60 miles over the posted speed limit to get his girlfriend to Taco Bell as quickly as possible. 

On March 21, a man was driving a Mercedes in Palm Bay, Florida, with his girlfriend and three children in the automobile.  

An on-duty officer with the Palm Bay Police Department was on the same road when they reportedly saw the vehicle whiz past at more than double the posted speed limit. The driver also allegedly almost crashed into a dump truck as the car weaved in and out of different lanes. The dump truck had to maneuver quickly to avoid being hit.

Five children were removed from the custody of their parents by DCS after a traffic stop revealed that the dad had a small amount of marijuana in his possession, and the agency has refused to give the youngsters back for over a month. 

Last month, a Black family from Georgia loaded up their Dodge Durango with their five children, ages 5, 3, 2, and 4 months. They were taking a road trip to Chicago to attend a funeral. 

On February 17, the family was driving through Manchester, Tennessee. The kids were sleeping in the back seat.

The mother and father of a 4-month-old were arrested after it was discovered that the baby had been horribly abused and had several broken bones and brain bleeds. 

On February 8, the parents of the infant girl took her to the Firelands Regional Medical Center for medical treatment. 

After assessing the child’s condition as serious, it was decided that she would be transferred to a pediatric hospital.

A South Carolina man is facing over a dozen charges for allegedly sexually battering more than one child and possessing a large amount of pornography depicting very young children. 

In the middle of last August, the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office opened an investigation to look into the possible sexual battery of five youngsters. They suspected an 18-year-old local man of being involved in the alleged abuse of the children. 

Four of the five youngsters were interviewed by the Spartanburg Children’s Advocacy Center, and one of the families declined to participate.
