A man and woman reportedly entered a stranger’s home without permission, and in addition to taking the resident’s belongings they also allegedly helped themselves to the household amenities.

When a woman arrived at her home and noticed a truck that she didn’t recognize parked in her driveway she became concerned and notified the authorities. While awaiting their arrival she dialed a family member and he came to her home.

The alleged victim’s relative went into the house with a firearm which he used to keep the suspects from leaving the scene before the police arrived.

After allegations that they participated in a voter fraud scheme, nine people are being accused of enticing homeless people with goods in order to get them to falsify signatures.

When suspicions regarding fraudulent signature collection on petitions containing ballot measures and voter registration cards during the 2016 and 2018 elections from people on Skid Row in Los Angeles came to light, an investigation was started earlier this year.

The Los Angeles Police Department used video surveillance and undercover agents and learned that people collecting signatures for ballots and voter registration were using money, food, and cigarettes to convince inhabitants of skid row to sign names that they were instructed to write on the official forms. The names were allegedly downloaded and collected off of the internet by the suspects.

A homeless man who was offered shelter during a storm by a mother of four when she brought him into her home was accused of lewd behavior by allegedly trying to suggest that her teenage daughter should allow him to pay her for sex.

When a North Carolina mother saw a homeless man, identified as 56-year-old Leonard Dale Dover, stuck outside in the heavy rains she invited him into her family home for a place to wait out the bad weather.

While Dover was inside of the house the woman made a quick run to the local Walmart to pick up a few items. Her 13-year-old daughter was home while Dover was there, and while her mother was absent she said that he tried to give her money in exchange for sex and that he masturbated in front of her. The girl reportedly caught some of his behavior on video with her cell phone’s camera.

After a Wisconsin woman notified the police and told them that her husband had been holding her hostage and subjecting her to different forms of physical violence, the authorities arrested the suspect in a cornfield the following evening.

Bartholomew Baumann, a 29-year-old married man from Beloit, Wisconsin, reportedly held his wife captive on Tuesday night and has been accused of hitting her repeatedly in the face, choking her, and dragging her around by her hair before eventually leaving the home.

Baumann’s wife reported the alleged incident to the police the following day and it was determined that Baumann would be taken into custody for the accusations.

A Garden Grove resident has been accused of trying to set fire to two homeless men that had a tent set up in Anaheim as their makeshift residency.

Eric Mongerson was reportedly on a bike ride on the afternoon of June 27 when he had an encounter with two men who lack permanent housing and had set up a temporary shelter using a tent.

When 29-year-old Mongerson was riding his bicycle in the direction of the site that the homeless men were located he allegedly threw a burning item at them and was reported as having said unkind words to the gentlemen as he left the scene.

A Philadelphia mother and her daughter to whom she was giving driving lessons in a public parking lot are each facing many charges after the teenager is suspected of causing the death of two homeless men who were sitting in the area.

32-year-old Stephanie Hernandez and her 15-year-old daughter went out together in the evening on June 4 in a Ford Explorer that Hernandez was purportedly using to give the teen a chance to practice driving.

The mother and daughter chose a Dollar Tree parking lot in the northeast part of town in which to work on preparing the girl for driving on the road when she received her driver’s license.

A man has been suspected of more than one assault in the San Francisco area after someone fitting his description was caught on a surveillance camera while in the act of attacking a sleeping homeless person. He is additionally suspected of being involved in at least two other violent incidents in the neighborhood.

58-year-old Samuel Youmtoub lives in San Francisco and has been accused of being the aggressor in three assaults, one of which allegedly took place in early February, while the other two happened in May, three months later, and within days of each other.

On February 4, a man had unexpectedly run into Youmtoub after having a prior interaction with him, and the man decided to walk away to avoid making contact with him again. As the man reportedly tried to leave the area Youmtoub spotted him allegedly went after him until he was within reach of the man.

A Pennsylvania woman was taken into custody on December 23 when she was accused of assaulting firefighters who were working to put out a fire in a run-down garage.

The Pottsville Fire Department responded to an alert about a small fire burning in a decaying garage on the property of 36-year-old Kate Lynn Blatt, when it was discovered that part of the structure was set aflame by a homeless man. As crews worked to extinguish the flames Blatt was informed that she must take measures to secure the garage in order to deter other vagrants from attempting the same act in the future.

The fire department duty chief on scene reported that Blatt became ill-tempered and began quarreling with him. This caught the attention of two of the firefighters who tried to intervene and assist the chief in subduing Blatt, which caused her to become even more upset. Blatt then allegedly threatened to “knock out” the chief and she was asked by one of the firemen to refrain from assaulting anyone.

A Queens man working for the Department of Homeless Services as a housing specialist was arrested on Monday for allegations that he sexually abused two women. The victims are homeless and have been lodging in the New York City shelter where he is employed.

54-year-old Clyde Johnson began working with DHS in 2015. His job as a housing specialist entails assisting homeless people who are staying in shelters in finding permanent dwellings. He has been accused of abusing two women who reside in the Auburn Family Shelter in Brooklyn on at least four different occasions.

The criminal complaint reported that the sexual acts between Johnson and the two victims, age 59 and 60, not only took place at the shelter, but also at another address nearby, and on a Brooklyn city bus in motion. The NYC Department of Investigation believes the abuse took place in April and July 2017.
