An Illinois registered nurse previously employed at a nursing home has been arrested for allegedly charging nearly $2,000 to a credit card that she reportedly took from a patient that passed away.

The Fair Havens Christian Home in Decatur hired a 47-year-old RN who spent nearly half a year trying to find a job, and she was tasked with providing nursing services on the night shift.

An 84-year-old man was admitted to the facility on November 6, and he passed away 18 days later.

An off-duty Washington reserve officer accused of driving under the influence while operating a stolen police car allegedly resisted arrest and tried to summon his K9 to attack.

49-year-old Shane Jones was a deputy with the Okanogan County Sheriff’s Office for 17-years before he retired from his position.

In November, Jones became a reserve officer for the Soap Lake police.

A man in Virginia was arrested for accusations of writing bad checks in several states on the East coast for the purchase of French bulldog puppies.

In early February, a man in Miles Township who was selling two French bulldogs received a call from someone that identified themselves as a Florida man named Mark Sampson.

Mr. Sampson reportedly told the seller that he was interested in buying the puppies for $6,000, and they agreed to meet on February 16 to conduct the sale.

A sex offender in New York was arrested after he allegedly raped and robbed a woman, and then reportedly returned her residence in clown makeup two days later.

33-year-old Joseph Johnson is from Wyandanch, NY. He was convicted for forcible sex abuse against an 11-year-old in 2015. As a result, Johnson is listed on the New York sex offender registry as a level 3 offender, which means he has been categorized as a possible high risk to society.

On September 19, 2020, Johnson allegedly went to an area close to a Long Island train station and broke into many cars in the area.

A Los Angeles police officer has been accused of stealing a truck from an Orange County used car lot and using the vehicle for a year after falsifying the records to reflect that it had been recovered.

45-year-old Matthew Calleros resides in Whittier, California.

Calleros is employed as an officer with the Hollenbeck division of the Los Angeles Police Department.

After a man reportedly fought with staff over wearing a mask at a restaurant in Los Angeles, he allegedly pulled out a gun and demanded they hand over all of their cooked chickens.

Roscoe’s House of Chicken and Waffles, founded in 1975, “is best known, as the name states, for serving chicken and waffles, both together and separately,” according to their website. The New York Times dubbed their establishment a “Beloved Soul Food Chain.”

On the evening of January 3, the restaurant was visited by a man who reportedly began to give a hard time when they informed him he would not be served if he did not wear a face mask.

The authorities allegedly uncovered a large illegal marijuana grow site when responding to a call for help after eight people reportedly burglarized the home.

Around 12:30 am on January 27, a couple who live in a house in Menifee, California called the authorities to report a possible burglary being committed by several suspects.

When the police arrived, they reported that someone that appeared to be male was dashing out the front door. When they interacted with him, he was identified as Vincente Huerta Lara.

The Polk County Fire Rescue Captain, along with one of their paramedics, are facing charges for allegedly swiping doses of COVID-19 vaccinations that were intended for first responders.

31-year-old Joshua Colon worked as a paramedic for the Polk County Fire Rescue. Last year, he was the “Paramedic of the Year.”

Colon was reportedly tasked with giving vaccines to first responders.

A man in Texas allegedly hopped into and stole an on-duty ambulance and headed to a fast food drive-thru with the emergency vehicle.

36-year-old Renaldo Dechaume Leonard resides in Houston, Texas. Leonard is currently on probation for prior theft convictions.

On January 21, paramedics were on call in a Houston Fire Department ambulance that was left unattended while they responded at the scene.

A teenager employed at a Georgia Kroger has been accused of stealing nearly $1M from the store by allegedly making invalid returns of merchandise.

19-year-old Tre Brown works at the gas station at a Kroger store located in Duluth, Georgia.

During an estimated two week period, from the end of December through the beginning of January, Brown allegedly found a way to scam Kroger for an exorbitant amount of money.
